Thanks to all those who supported this cause. We surpassed the 50,000 signatures, so we finally sent the official petition to Warner Bros. to never again use the Joker character in the Batman movies to come. Here you have the content of the letter we sent! Thanks again to everybody!

To whom it may concern,
We are three big fans of your Batman movies. Therefore, we are writing to you because we believe Heath Ledger has been the best joker ever, and he deserves more than a tribute.

That’s why we created www.theultimatejoker.com, the website where we asked people to join our cause and for the joker to be put to rest and never again be used in any other Batman sequel.

We think this action would be the best way to honor Heath Ledger and immortalize his portrayal of this incredible villain.

We are not asking much. There have been already two movies with the joker character. Do we need any more? We would like to know if there’s any possibility you could consider this petition and join us in celebrating this ¨Once in a Lifetime¨ performance.

Hey, thank u all the fans supporting the cause!
Some good news to share… We have reached a nice number of supporters and we can all be proud of it… 19200 in the moment of writing this post.
Both CNN (thank you Mairi for your interview) and WIRED featured the cause on bold headlines giving the initiative a high public exposure. Let´s keep on gathering supporters and friends, we can do it.

Regarding some aggressive and radical comments here… to all of them… WHY SO SERIOUS? Just share your POV, but as well as we have the right to ask for this cause without being rude with you, you have the right to show some respect and class writing like a normal person. Please, do not overuse the f… word, for God’s sake. And yes, we’re morons, idiots and all that stuff… so what?
